Joy and Abundance
In your life, are you doing what brings you joy or are you doing what you expect to bring you money? Is money the reason you do things or is it the byproduct that comes to you as a result of doing what brings you joy? What role does money play in your life? What role does joy play in your life?
We are conditioned to perceive the value of anything in terms of dollars and cents. We have been taught that money is the goal and joy is the byproduct when in actuality it is the other way around. We have been conditioned to live life backwards and by accepting this conditioning we have set ourselves up for lives of lack and struggle. We strive to attain enough money where we can feel comfortable enough to allow ourselves some joy. But we cannot fully experience that joy when our values are based on money. How much joy we experience will always be measured by how much money we have attained. And even when we have struck it rich the joy we seem to experience as a result is not the true pure unconditional joy that we can feel by living and expressing creatively for its own sake.
We have been conditioned to live and think in a linear sequential way. We are taught the value of doing anything comes as a reward when the job is done. We are conditioned to believe that we create in order to experience joy as a result. And we are taught that the level of joy is commensurate with a dollar value. But the proper place for joy is not after the creating but rather during it. Our values have been split into a linear sequence and this separates us from our true values. It puts them into the future rather than the NOW which is the only place they can be experienced. Joy is not the result of creativity but rather the expression of it. That is where the true joy is and that is why it remains out of our grasp; because we have been conditioned to look for it as a reward that comes later. When we have finished creating something we can feel joyous about our accomplishment and we may even receive a monetary reward but this is a pseudo-joy that can never equal the value fulfillment of the joy experienced during the creative process. This is the joy we must open up to in order to experience true abundance. This is the joy that attracts all the possibilities that can enable more of the same joy. This is the joy that feeds life. This is the joy that heals all separation and brings us into the NOW and connects us with our divine presence.
