Transformation
Can personal transformation lead to planetary transformation?
I think it may be the only thing that can. If we can see the incredible wondrous beauty in the world then we are filled with joy rather than with a need to change the world. If we focus on the crap then that need to change things rises within us. I agree that the planet does not need to transform but I also feel that it will, simply because that is its nature. Change is a constant. If we are focused on directing that change then we are obviously not focused on the beauty and perfection that is so prevalent in the NOW moment.
The same thing can be said on a personal level. If we are totally focused on changing ourselves then we are not focused on the incredible beauty and perfection of ourselves just as we are. We are not truly loving ourselves. When we can see and focus on our own beauty and perfection, that beauty and perfection becomes empowered and grows and engulfs our lives. Change is a byproduct of this. It happens as a result of that self-love growing and impacting ever more parts of our lives. If we focus exclusively on the byproduct then we are missing out on what causes that byproduct and we are spinning our wheels trying to make change happen instead of letting it happen as a result of loving ourselves.
We cannot unconditionally love someone if we are trying to change them.
We can move from a personal level to a level that includes friends and families and coworkers. If we feel we need to change or transform any of them and if we are focusing on that we are essentially holding them in a state of imperfection and not much is really going to change. If we see and focus on the beauty and perfection in them, then we are empowering them and the love within them, helping that love to grow which results in change and transformation. The same goes for global levels. We cannot transform the world except through seeing the outrageously incredible beauty and perfection of it and getting into and staying in a state of wonderment and joy and love. We can focus on other people's faults and the faults of the world and this gives energy to those faults and empowers those faults. Only love transforms and it is just as powerful on all levels of existence.
I have said it before but I will say it again: We cannot love all others unless we love ourselves and we cannot love ourselves unless we love all others. When we are in a state of wonderment there is no need to change anything. And that is exactly when everything changes. But do things really change or is it just our perceptions that change? Many teachers have said that we create our reality through perception. Since the outrageously incredible beauty and perfection are already there, we are not changing anything by seeing it but as we hold that state of wonderment over it our subsequent actions and reactions naturally change as a result. This is the byproduct. This is the change that happens.
Love transforms. Everything else is a hamster wheel. Love, joy, and beauty are what can hold us in a state of wonderment and in that state we can step out of the hamster wheel and love ourselves into existence.
